About 19.1 percent of the 4,726 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Honolulu conferred 686 bachelor's degrees and 208 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general psychology. Data shows the school gave out 183 bachelor's degrees in general psychology, followed by 161 bachelor's degrees in speech communication and rhetoric and 141 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse.

The university enrolled 17,710 students for 2017-18, including 12,968 in undergraduate programs and 4,742 in graduate programs.
