75 percent of applicants to Hawaii Pacific University were admitted for fall 2018

At Hawaii Pacific University, 65 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 59 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Honolulu enrolled 4,086 students in fall 2018, including 3,545 in undergraduate and 541 in graduate programs, data shows. 15.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

43 percent of undergraduates are residents of Hawaii, and 48 percent are residents of other states. 8 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (23 percent) and two or more races (17 percent).

The school admitted 75 percent of the 6,168 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 12 percent enrolled.
