75 percent of applicants to the University of Hawaii-West Oahu were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Hawaii-West Oahu, 59 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 67 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Kapolei enrolled 3,128 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 17.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

97 percent of undergraduates are residents of Hawaii, and 2 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Asian (37 percent) and two or more races (34 percent).

The school admitted 75 percent of the 899 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 36 percent enrolled.
