Mayor Kirk Caldwell issued the following announcement on Dec. 13.
While many of the cases today are being added from Halawa prison, we are expecting a bump in cases from the Thanksgiving holiday.
This serves as a reminder of the cost of gathering while COVID-19 is still active in our communities.
The FDA approved the first Coronavirus vaccine, but it's not here yet. We need to continue to be cautious a little while longer, or else all the sacrifices we've already made will be in vain.
