Of the 11,379 citizens living in Nanakuli in 2020, 66.7 percent said they were only one race, while 33.3 percent said they were two or more races, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained in March.

Of those who said they were one race, the majority identified as native hawaiian or other pacific islander.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.

Statistical data for 2021 will be released later this year.
