Tree-mendous Honor
The HFD’s Christmas tree won second place for “Best in Show” among the many festive trees in the City Employee Christmas Tree Exhibition inside Honolulu Hale. Congratulations to Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation who took first place!
The HFD display features garland made from retired fire fighter turnouts, recycled fire hose created into a Hawaiian flag, and some of the earliest photos of our department from the 1800s. The tree exhibition is open daily at Honolulu Hale Courtyard through Dec. 31.
