(Washington, D.C.) – On April 28, 2023, Representative Jill Tokuda (HI-02) will hold a press conference with Hawaiʻi media to announce her statewide Farm Bill Listening Session tour to hear from farmers, agriculture producers, nutrition advocates, and workers on what they’re hoping to see from the 2023 Farm Bill.

The Farm Bill is renegotiated every five years, and Rep. Tokuda is the only member of Hawaiʻi’s Delegation to hold a seat on the Agriculture Committee, making her uniquely positioned to ensure that Hawaiʻi’s agriculture economy is accounted for in negotiations.

Rep. Tokuda will speak with members of the media today at 8:30am HT/2:30pm ET to announce five Farm Bill Listening Sessions as well as three additional town halls on neighbor islands, all taking place the first week of May. Members of the agriculture community are encouraged to participate in the Listening Session and the general public is invited to Tokuda’s town halls.
