HONOLULU – The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Design and Construction (DDC) is advising the public of upcoming storm drain cleaning and maintenance work that will require single-lane road closures and parking restrictions along portions of Kapi‘olani Blvd. and Cooke St.
Work is scheduled for Saturday, June 24, between 3:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Traffic along Kapi‘olani Blvd. and Cooke St. will remain open to the public during these times. Street parking will be temporarily prohibited along Cooke St. between Kapi‘olani Blvd. and Kawaiahao St., as well as a section of Cooke St. between Kapi‘olani Blvd. and King St. Drivers are asked to observe the dates and times of “No Parking” notices as vehicles parked on posted streets will be towed at the owner’s expense. Please be aware of all traffic control devices, posted signs, special duty police officers and allow extra time while traveling through the area.
City contractors and crews will work efficiently and safely to minimize inconveniences as much as possible. We appreciate the public’s patience while the City & County of Honolulu continues to improve our local infrastructure.
