Starting Friday, June 30 at 2 p.m. Skyline will open to the public at all nine stations of the west end segment, from Kualakaʻi East Kapolei to Hālawa Aloha Stadium Skyline Station. All nine stations will be accessible to the public, no HOLO card needed. DTS asks that everyone wishing to ride Skyline on Friday, June 30, to arrive by or before 6 p.m.
Starting Saturday, July 1, Skyline will begin normal operating hours:
Weekends and Holidays: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Weekdays: 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
New and modified TheBus routes will also be in affect on July 1. Please visit www.thebus.org for details.
This July 4th weekend (July 1 to July 4), transit on Skyline and TheBus will be free WITH a valid HOLO card. Riders will need to tap their HOLO cards on TheBus or at Skyline station fare gates in order to enter and ride. No charge will be taken from the cards.
TheHandi-Van rides will also be free from July 1 to July 4.
DTS is expecting a large turnout of riders this weekend, and ask the public to have patience and ride with aloha. Please practice proper “elevator” etiquette (let riders off first before you board, let keiki and kupuna have seats, etc.)
