Of the 1,015,167 citizens living in Honolulu County in 2021, 78.7% were old enough to vote, equating to 799,096 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 402,226 were male, constituting 50.3%, and 396,870 were female, making up 49.7%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Honolulu County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 78.6%.
